I'm new to the site, and this is my first post. I've been researching here for days to try to solve my problem, lots of great info. BTW, my 250 did blow a plug at around 118k, and this site has shown I'm not the only one to say the least. Anyway, had a check eng light, gave codes for restricted EGR and DPFE circuit open. Replaced the DPFE, and no more CEL. Still getting terrible hesitation under load at low RPM's, most noticeable in OD. Don't think it's the COPs, put all new Autolite Dbl Pltnms in after the helicoil....Autozone guys here have been real helpful, put some Gumout injector cleaner in today, going to see if that helps....not sure about the Cat Conv. Just getting really frustrated, any help?
unbolt the cat from the header pipe and run her..see if it runs better...btw this is copyrighted information from redford...sorry red beat you to it buddy!

hello guys , i'm new here too, but i have a 2000 250sd that has almost the same problem, it has a miss underany kind of load, i've have changed plugs , boots coils ,had theinjectors tested , but it does'nt read any codes on the scanner , what i did notice on the scanner was that the timing seems to drop as load in placed on the eng, while driving with the scanner hooked up , i noticed that pulling any hill , that the timing starts retarding , as far as going back to zero(or base timing ) shouldnt the timing advance under throttle , any help wopuld be apprieciated

WELCOME to FTE!
Start another thread on your issue, we'll all be glad to pile on
I'd clean the MAF sensor, and check fuel pressure first. But please, start another thread first ...
