Thumbs up D66 turbo

Finally got my D66 turbo installed on the truck. the turbo really compliments the bigger injectors. it sounds awesome! Really whistles at 40psi. havent seen to big of a diffrence in EGT's yet but i was told the turbo has a break-in period before i will see any significant change in lowering EGT numbers. Im all grins Beer!

I thought with a larger turbo you will see less boost with the added cfms pushed in.
Congrats on the new turbo, let us know what other changes you see compared to the stocker.

powerstroked are you running stage 1's with that D 66? I've looked at the setup for a while now. 40 psi is getting up there. Congrats!

I have yet to max out my 35psi gauge with my stocker and stage 1s. But I am finding more and more exhaust leaks

The D66 is a great turbo. You know its there. definetly a seat of the pants type of mod. It is a totally diffrent sound then a stock turbo to. which is what i think i like the most about it. The only thing i think i notice about the turbo that could see improvement is the fact that the stage 1's really dont maximize the full potential of the turbo. I think if i put in a set of stage 2's i would see even more performance outta the turbo. Irregardless its still a great turbo! I also got a chance to finally run the dyno today and the truck put down a whopping 412hp and 755lb ft. I was really happy with the trucks performance.

Those are huge numbers for stage 1s. Are your running nos, or drugs? Different hpop?

How hard of a mod is the D66? A direct swap or a total rework of the system? Also, is this a more powerful turbo than the Holset H2, or are they about the same? Thanks

It is a direct fit from the stock turbo. Bean says it flows 100 cfms more air than a regulaer h2e, about 1050 cfm. Also is a 30% increase in cfm over stock (750cfm)

the d66 flows more air than an h2 but it is not as tough as an h2. it still uses the stock center section and thrust bearing

I would say for the price the D 66 would be the way to go. I'd love to have it under my hood but I have to put that behind everything else... Which kind of sucks.

ForemanES- No drugs, or gas. stock HPOP. Although my next purchase is going to be a 17* pump for the rig. The truck is just flat out set-up right. took along time to get the truck tuned in and puttin down that kinda power but it did. I talked to Bean today and they are gonna post my numbers up on their websiteCool!

Well congrats on the #s again

I guess we can throw out the old run of thumb 2.2 hp for every cc the injector puts out on a well tuned motor.

I was just thinking since the D 66 flows more air does it create more boost?
