will this work

Ok well i rebuilt my EFI 1990 Ford F-150 and converted it all over to carb, and to do so I was going to try to hard wire everything, with a toggle board. Well I can't get that to work, and was wondering if a wiring harness of of a 1979 Ford F-150 work on my truck, I would take everything out of it and make the changes to get things to work, this truck has a 351M and mine is a 300 6.

For the most part yes it will work, however because it is from an older truck any wiring diagrams will be useless if you run into electrical problems later on down the road. Carbureted I6 and V8 wiring harnesses are pretty much the same.

Let me stick my neck out here. Not sure exactly what you got goining but when I nixed my computer/sensors in my 85 I6, I really nix them. The only wiring harness that I needed was for the coil/dizzy and a HEI control module. All I had to do was supply a switched 12v to this assy. A local guy makes this assy with a rebuilt dist. and the rest new parts. You can search this site and others how Ford parts are used. Hard wired with a toggle board? Sounds scarry.
