The starter voltage does not run thru the frame or body. Ground from battery to engine block, to starter. Positive from battery to solenoid, from solenoid to starter. The power to activate the solenoid is very little current and runs from battery to ignition switch to solenoid. Ground is from solenoid base to fender, to firewall to block and back to the battery. Again solenoid is very low current compared to the 70 to 120 amps the starter draws.
