You can get a good set of headers through Summit for aroud $170.00. I think mine are Hookers for a 2 wheel drive 74-80 ( not absolutely positive about years covered) with automatic. I gave around $170.00 for them and they work great. Use the aluminum gaskets on the heads and the collectors and you wont have to worry about leaks.
is your truck a 4x4 with a 460? i've heard rumors that you could use the 2wd headers, but i never saw them actually used. mine is 78 f250 4x4 with d44 fa
and darinn1999 did u use desktop dyno? cause in the edlebrock catalog they had a stock 460 with 8.5 comp, which is stock, their cam, their intake, and 1 3/4 headers and it had around 460-465 ft. lbs torque at 2500, theres no way that i cannot have those same numbers with a better timing chain and all new stuff, i should have more due to increased compression also, but i dont have the program either. thanks for the help
