well, i got lucky and was able to pick up and install a dana 60 over the weekend it came out of a '94 f-350 dually dump truck with a whopping 68,000 miles on it i got everything with it, sway bar, trac bar, and all the brackets. i installed f-350 springs in the summer, so i didn't need them. the only thing i have to do is replace the steering linkage, finish drilling and bolting up the sway bar brackets and bolt on the driveshaft. surprisingly, the truck sits level now, so i won't be raising the rear end. i ended up with all new rotors, pads, calipers, u-bolts, and brake lines. while getting the brakes worked on, i changed out the master cylinder with a reman because i started to see signs of failure.
Congrats on the install! You will be a happy camper with that switch. Let us know if it rides better than the TTB even with the 350 springs already installed.
after about 2 and a half months, everything is still good. the axle hasn't fallen off yet lol. the ride is a little softer with the 60 and 350 springs than the ttb with 350 springs, mostly because the springs dont seem to bottom out like they used to with the ttb. i had about 1/2" clearance between the springs and the bump stop, now i have about 2" so it's not as bone jarring as it used to be. in short, i think the 60 with 350 springs is the better ride when comparing it to the ttb with 350 springs
