Hello
I am having trouble getting my 79 Bronco to run smooth. Right now it has got a very rough idle. When it is warmed up it quites down a little but not a lot, I have to keep tightening screw and bolts all over. I have adjusted timing, the carb and can't get it to stop.It is stock except for the over bore of 40, and headers. It has a two barrel carb that I am tthinking of rebuilding to see if that is the problem. Any one with same thing or a lead of what to do.
Get a can of wd-40 and start spreying it around the carb base and intake manifold. If the engine speed picks up you have a vacuum leak. Check all your vacuum lines too. Sounds like a vacuum leak. Does it clear up at a faster idle?
it doese some what but is strill very noticeable. could it be a vlve problem I did a compression check and the number two cylinder was at 60, with a wet test it went up to just 90 all the rest are at about 145-150
