After sitting for two weeks in the driveway, I went to start the truck. At first it turned over a few times and now nothing...just the solenoid clicking. I tried to jump start and was unsuccessful. 1/4 tank of gas.....What could be wrong?
Try letting it sit on a battery charger at 10amps for a half an hour. My truck seems to need quite a bit of volt/amperage to start after going completely dead. Almost to the point I think the solenoid has a voltage regulator that will not allow a connection unless a certain voltage is available.
After failing with the charger....and checking everything else, I reset the fuel pump shut off switch and it started right up! I cannot explain as the car was parked in the driveway and am positive it wasnt hit!
How do you re=set the fuel pump shut off switch??
I have a 98 that does the same thing, except when it's sittin on a slanted not a hill but a slightest, the slightest incline it wont start, we have to roll a little bit in nuetral and it stats right up. Like its a manual or something.
I dont get it
Thanks for any and all info
