I am looking to get the Sonnax line pressure valve kit (96948-01K) and the accumulator spring kit (36948-18K) to help firm up my shifts. Would it be a good idea to use both of these together? Does anyone have any other recommendations on what shift kit to buy?
The Sonnax/Tricumulator is a good kit but if your tranny is weak you may have some unexpected results. ie. it might make the tranny fail a little sooner than it normally would.
The BTS valve body Trike mentioned is more than a shift kit, it actually addresses some of the weakness(s) the e4od has behind a diesel. It's a good investment (~$225) even if your tranny fails in the future (reusable). So is the Sonnax kit but you get what you pay for IMHO.
