idler pulley

idler pulley

I have a 93 e350 with the 7.3 diesel, the pulley is shot and needs to be replaced the bolt is stripped out and i cannot get it out. Is there a bracket i can take of and replace to get this out or what do you guys think I should do. Thanks

The idler bolt I believe goes into the block........ Short of grinding off the torx head, then disassembling the rest to see what is going on.......

Wonder if he drilled it and used an "easyout" on it. It would take a very short drill and a 90deg head to do it. What do you think PLC7.3

It would be pretty hard to hold it while drilling and I think it would be a grade 5 or 8 bolt ???? With the Torx head it would be hard on drill bits for the first while.
