Question what would win?

hello i have a 97 f250 crew cab short box powerstroke.with 355 gears and an auto trans. i have air box, edge evolution, and exhaust. my dad has a 2002 same thing only with 373 gears and just an evolution. now his smokes mine it isnt even a race but if i got stage one injectors whould that make my truck faster then his or would his still win? im just wondering because i want to get injectors and dont know if it will even be worth it. please let me know what you guys think.

Part of your problem is your gears. The lower the gear....higher the number ie 3.73 or 4.10s the quicker you will come out of the hole. You loose mpg but with these trucks mpg can't be your first concern. I have 4.10s and I smoke my dad's '01 PSD crew cab short box dually. Then again his is BONE stock...oops I forgot he has an addison air box (I think thats what it is) The stealership recommended it to him.

stage 1 with a good chip burned for the injectors should in theory win. I think.

I crush all with my dp-tuner and stage 1's. I smashed on a guy with a 6.0 and an edge chip. We later met up at the local diesel performance shop where he told the guy that owned the diesel perf. shop he wanted what i had. lol, needless to say the guy couldn't get him what i had, only bean could.
Shout out to BeansDieselPerformance.com for makin the rig what it is! Keep up the great work guys

Lazerf250- I drive a '97 f250 with a set of beans stage 1 injects, a DP tuner 6 position chip, a D66 turbo, tymar intake, 3.5" downpipe, 5" straight pipe exhasut, 10k mod, modified FPR runs 80-85psi. Set-up works great! Beans really took care of me. On the list next is a 17* HPOP and water meth injection. After that 530cc hybrids baby!

A stock auto 6.0 will kick my $#@, thats with some pretty good shifting on my part. I easily got it off the line but about 35mph when the 6.0 get >3000 rpms they fly.
Also a chipped 6.0 can easily see a 14 sec 1/4 mile, good tuning will get them to 13s.
Many guys on tds have stage 2s or larger have trouble keeping up with modded 6.0s

well let's see... the fastest/most powerful powerstrokes (modded) are 7.3's... so once you start spending upwards of i would say... 3k, you'll own any other powerstroke that you might meet at a stop light

Well I think it would be a draw, he has 140cc injectors but better gearing.
You would have 160cc injectors but higher gearing. Only one way to find out.
