After a month of owning I figured a few changes. a heated steering wheel, mirrors fold in when in put in park and a better navigation unit. that last one pisses me off. $1800 flushed
The wifey loves the Medium Gray leather interior of our "soon to be ordered" F-450 Lariat Pickup and gave me instructions she wants as few aftermarket parts in the cab as possible.
We wrestled with the navagation unit option a bit but finally decided we could install one heck of a unit for less than $1800 and put it where we could see it.

So what's wrong with the NAV unit. I ordered on for my truck. I probably have time to have it removed. (lots of time actually). I placed my order on 3/1. Was told by the dealer it might have a build date the first of May, Maybe get it the last week of June.
It works great, 6 disc changer very nice, but it won't play DVDs for $1,800 you can better stuff installed. I have an Eclipse I could've used but I wanted the steering wheel controls.
I like the nav unit. I have a Garmin mounted in my 250 which is nice and I think it is probably easier to use, however the factory unit in the 450 is easier to see and operates nicely. It would be nice if you could play DVD's on it though.

FYI: I installed an in-dash Pioneer Nav sys in my 06 and you can get a SWIP's controller for your steering wheel controls and they will work with your new unit. I have one and it works great and you retain your steering wheel controls.
Looked at the $1800 for nav and decided to buy a Garmin nuvi 360 for $499 that I can use in other vehicles. Like it better than the factory nav in my wifes suv. How is the sound of the Audiophile? My Wife has the Bose in hers and it is really fantastic. Always wondered why they do not offer a heated steering wheel.
Bose speakers sounding good? You are joking right? There isn't a bigger scam in the audio industry than a Bose "audio" system. I am all for factory audio as it has come along way but for what they charge vs what you actually get...
Sorry to go off topic from the NAV comment but I couldn't resist.
I like the Nav on mine. It seems to have most roads on the map, even small ones that I would not expect. The only thing that I have noticed is that it seems to not always take you the most direct route. I am assuming this, because where I noticed it was someplace I was very unfamiliar with. It seems that it took me around my butt to get to my elbow. My only complaint is that the damn speach directions have a female voice. I hate a woman telling me what to do! JK
