the DR lift kits use deaver springs (which imo are the best out there, and pricey). this is for the full springs. my buddy just got the 8" lift for his 02 psd and it rides better than stock. its absoutley amazing compared to his old crappy procomp lift.
If anyone is interested in converting to the coilover setup, www.full-traction.com has a really nice kit for our trucks. I read about it in a 4wheeler mag and then checked it out on the net it seems pretty tough. I think that will be the next suspension upgrade for me when i have the money.
i dont mean to sound stupid but i dont quite understand what u mean but that statement.
I'm not saying this is what you meant. But this is how it sounds...
I purchased a bad product that I thought was good. I get the bad product replaced under warranty. Now I advertise and sell a new sub-par product as new to some person that doesn't know it sux and will sag like it did to me.
Like I said, it might not have been what you meant, but that's what it sounded like to me.
Happy FTE'ing, and hope you become a supporter soon.

I believe DR stopped using deaver springs, and now use their own springs. I am not sure what the difference is though .
I just got my 2.5 leveling kit from Revtek. Love it. I have a 350, so I didnt' have the **** draggin look either. its close, but it just depends on how you look at it. I have yet to get the 285's, but that is what I am getting when I need tires. the Revtek is spendy, but I have heard, been told. there better than most. I can't tell you why, but the shop got my money. lol and easy to install. now i have stock (front) springs if anybody needs them. Happy shopping
I concur, that's what i got for my 250 when i bought it and it was perfect. The difference in ride quality was 10X better than stock (nose down) also all good heavy duty components.I had it installed for $200 but if you have some tools and a place to do it it's about 5 hrs.I now have the 4" lift and it's all good so far.
Well my experience with Rough Country leveling kit has been good. I have an F-350 so I have the taller rear block than the F-250. My truck sat 4.5" higher in the rear than the front stock. I added a 2.5" leveling kit from Rough Country and it raised it 3" for a month or so then back down to 2.5". My truck sits even from side to side, I was able to fit 315/75/16's BFG Mudders with some minor bumper trimming and I can still haul a load or trailer without the dreaded lift squat because I have 2" of squat before it even sits level. I have had the level kit for 2 years and 25,000 miles with no complaints. It did stiffen the ride a bit but I thought it was kind of soft in the front anyway.
Doesn't somebody sell an air (bag) spring assist for the front leafs of these trucks? I know the rears are available but it seems a front kit would be just as practical and easy to install?? And you could custom tune your lift.

yeah firestone has kits for the front but i think the kit only accomodates stock or a leveling kit but if thats all you have its perfect. I plan on putting bags on the front of mine but i have to custom fab a set of brackets to make it fit cuz i have the 6" lift.
I think its called ride fight by firestone.
