So do I. But I remain puzzled by all this talk of changing "front clips" around. Not sure where the benefit it.... ? ? ? I also think my 2005 EX looks great. And I also think my neighbor's 2002 EX looks great. Had I found an earlier EX (with more chrome on the front "clip") with as low miles and in as perfect condition, I would have bought that. Then I would have had as much crhome on the front end as my neighbor's EX... ( mine is a LIMITED, so it dosnt have any chrome. Chrome would look nice......
Maybe if I got me a 2000 or 2001 EX "front clip" I could pull the grades better ? Really bothers me that you diesel guys can, when pulling heavy loads, pull ahead of me on long up-grades..... Wonder what the 2010 "SD" (Super Duty, for those of you who dont follow Ford "lingo').... will look like...? Should we wait till the 2010's come out ?

" . . . doing this to an Excursion would be awesome.. . ."
You are right..the 2008 "front clip" is neato. But again...maybe you should wait and see what the 2010 Ford SD's are like. Could be neatoer...(If there IS a Ford product in 2010...?

Yes - here we agree - getting an EX is a good move - for large families and/or really heavy towing, nothing like an EX. Seriously, be sure and go thru this forum - lots of good ideas on relatively inexpensive ways to correct some really insane defects in the EX - (like too soft springs, no sway bar, etc)... Once you correct those idiotic defects, the EX can do the job most of us bought them for, and do it well.

. . . . ..I would do if it is not way over the top. . . "

You got all those mouths to feed, and you are worried about how the front "clip" on a truck looks like....?
Yeah

Yeah - getting over the top..NOW you are talking. See, getting over the top of some of our mountain passes isn't much of a problem when there is no traffic ...but..here's the deal...sometimes, there IS traffic, and the guys with the diesel-powered rigs towing their heavy loads, pull those grades faster than I can with my V-10. Really upsets me that they can get to the next fast food place 10 minutes ahead of me. What do you guys think..? if I waited until the 2010 SD series Fords came out, would changing the "front clip" give me more power so I could keep up or even pass those diesel guys...?.
