Bigger tires

Just recently bought a 1993 ford f150 supercab, and would like to put 33 in. tires under it. There is no lift, but it is 4x4. Will they fit? or will I have to put a small lift under it? And if that is so how much will a lift cost? and where can I get one?

With stock height you'll probably want to lift it a bit before putting 33s on her. My truck's got a 4 inch lift with 33s and even I get a bit of rub sometimes when turning into a steep driveway. Just my .02

Try using 285-75 they should be okay to use without a lift and they are nearly the same size as the 33's.

31's will rub at full steering lock. your wheel backspacing will be important as to how much rub there is.

I have stock Ford steel wheels and my 31x10.5x15 don't rub at all. But do have a heavy suspension package.

You will need to spend a hundo on a 2 inch body lift, or the front end leveling kit. otherwise even a speed bump will make the front wheels rub in the wheel well.

And as stated by others, you will lose your full turning radius, but its fine, you can still whip a u turn in a double lane wide road. Also you will get a feel for how far you can turn it, its probably like 95%, and even if they do rub, you hear and feel it and know to back off.

To properly clear 33's you will need a 4inch suspension lift. I have done many of these on this year of trucks. It simple job helps to have a friend though. Please dont do a body lift just to clear some tires. I am sure people might flame for being so against them. I personaly like the looks of the 6inch over the 4. I have the 6 inch lift on my 93 xcab short bophotos in gallery). I love the skyjacker brand. But if your going to do it just make sure you do it right, and dont skimp on stuff, i.e GEARS GEARS GEARS GEARS the most important thing to remember to change. It might not seem like a big deal only going from say 31' to 33's but you lose a lot of performance i think.

you will need a 4 inch lift 31's will clear with no rub at least mine did before the lift you will loss a lot of power especially if you dont regear. your fuel milage and turning radius will go to crap. but they really look good and dont skimp on things get new radius arms pitman arm gears. speedometer and odo will be off too you will actually go faster then it says if you stay with stock gearing
