I need to replace the 3rd row seat belts on my 02 Eddie Bauer explorer, my dog had some fun with them!
Does anyone have experience replacing the seat belts on the 3rd row seat. Particularly removing the panels. I've taken a quick look and don't see much in terms of screws to remove the panels, so I don't have a good idea where to start.
If anyone has some pictures or diagrams from a manual it would be greatly appreciated.
I took a look last night and looks like I may only have to remove the rear pilar covers to replace the belts. Does anyone know how to remove the covers, they look like they are attached only by snaps, so it is probably a matter of just pulling but I don't want to break anything.
As anyone removed the rear pilar covers before, any help would be greatly appreciated.
I use a super wide flat blade ,(like a brake adj tool) to pop the clips loose. You need to remove the top cover between the pilar covers first, just take it easy, you will do ok. Do you have that star tool for the seatbelt wrench?
Any place that sells automotive tools should carry the star bits in sets; you might want to wait until you get down to the belt bolts to buy, to make sure you get the right one.
