F-250 Question

The final cost of the truck will be $16.8 and the rest is for me. With the cash, I will get the stuff that I want for the truck and pay-off bills. All total, it will push the loan of the truck to $20K to $23K. The $3K is money that I loaned to a family member and I may or may not get it back. Even at $23K, I will have no other bills to deal with and the truck will be set-up the way I want it. I'm going to shot for $20K and if it's a little higher, I'll still be happy with the deal because the truck is the way I want it and I have no bills.

Welcome to FTE, I know see what you are trying to accomplish with the $23K loan, have you talked w/ your banker? Is the loan value of the truck 23K?(not to be confused with the retail value). You don't want to be 6500.00 upside down in a year or so. If the loan value is at 23K then borrow that amount, and since you will have no other bills than the payment and maintenance, Double up payments for a year and then you will not be in a bad way if you decide to find something else.
