Shackle flips
Let me start I have a 1978 F-250 with leafs front and back. I installed a set of 2004 f-250 rear leafs in the front. Ok it rides worse than it did before. I want to get about 3-4" of lift out it and not hurt my ride quality any worse that it already is. I am also am trying to do this as cheap as I can (with in reason).
1. I read about the rear shackle flips. I take that I can get away with taking off my stock rear hangers flip them and remount them to get the back up. Correct?
2. I believe I read that I can extend the front shackles mount on the front springs to lift the front. (I plan on reinstalling the factory springs.)
3. I read that lifting my truck this way and not going to crazy will not affect any driveling geometry to bad or could be corrected with shims easily.
I am hoping that I read all my info correct and could possibly do this in a week with all the parts ready to go. If I am thinking wrong let me know as I would like to do this correctly.
Thanks Stephan
