Warn IWE

I was just doing some reading and I found out that WARN is the company that makes the IWE on our trucks!! Warn is a proven leader in the 4x4 world, so I'm kinda wondering why were having sooooo many IWE problems. Or, it could be that Ford got there hands in on the engineering of it, just like they did with the 6.0 Diesel and that's why they have had issues.

I don't think it's the IWE's that are actually the problem most of the time, it the stupid little parts that make them work.

Parts like the vacuum solenoid that got douched with water until Ford put the little shroud around it, and the vacuum lines down to the IWE's that are in those baloney plastic clips which make it all too easy for the line to come out and start rubbing against the wheel/tire.

Ya VFR, I think your right......after reading more of the article, it does actually say that they tested the system underwater also and it worked fine. Ever since I covered my solenoid, I haven't had an issue at all.
