All right, its time for my first big interior detail on my new 07 SCrew. I have the Lariat black leather interior. What does everyone recommend for cleaning and conditioning? What do you recommend for the plastic, and what do you recommond for the leather?
Thanks
I went and bought ArmorAll cleaners. They have a leather conditioner, general cleaner and a shine. My truck looks really nice and the shine doesn't attract dust as much as the older generation of ArmorAll used to.
You can also get leather conditioner from Ford, but I don't have first hand experience with it.
I use the Zaino products. Their leather cleaner and conditioner. Cleans great and when finished, smells like you are riding a horse. I have used most all their products and could not be more satisfied.
Commercial grade Fantastik Orange Citrus to clean all the surfaces. The citrus is not harmful to the interior materials, it won't fade the switches and buttons, it won't break down any of the plastics.
Lexol leather cleaner and Lexol leather conditioner for the seats.
I use a microfiber towel for all my work to avoid any fine surfaces scratches/swirlmarks and abrasions in any of the interior surfaces, especially the wood trim and the gauge cluster plastic.
It took me about 8 hours to detail just the interior of my truck. I bought it used and wanted to make sure the interior was clean/sanitary and looked as good as it could.
