LxMan1... My 98 F-150 has that REAL soft shift from1-2, always been that way, always has bugged me. If I buy that predator tuner will that adjust that? Also could I use that same tuner then on my stock 97 GT to play around with a custom tune? I grew up with a dwell meter so this stuff is confusing.
Spotty
Yes it took the slack out of the 1-2 shift. It feels much better than stock. It won't snap your neck, but the shift is quick and firm.
Thanks LxMan, I think I'll put that on my wish list, I REALLY hate that 1-2 shift. The truck is used as my work truck so I spend all day in it. I've always had 3/4 tons, big blocks, with a C-6, those trannys are FIRM. This 98 is a super cab with a 8' box, 4 wheel, I am so happy with the power, how it handles weight, etc.. Going from 20 plus years of 8-10 mpg, and now getting 12.5 to 15.5 loaded down, cold Minnesota weather, I'd buy another one tomorrow. Tires last twice as long as those load range E's on my 3/4 tons, it's amazing to me how well these 255-70-16's handle weight and LAST! Sorry, getting way off topic, thanks again for the reply.
