Snowking- since its a dodge, im guessing it a passenger side drop correct?
Dustin, i looked at your galery and i htink i have seen you around before!
very nice truck.
Preppy, a 4x4 finatic...sure, but i still have lots ot learn...can i let you in on a little secret?.......im 14(youngest?) and i have spent alot of time reading forums and other forms of information...
because of my age, lots of people dont take me serious, but i have been around vehicals all my life, and have lots of knowledge(at least i think lol) for my age.
i would get a little more in detail about my past iwth vehicals, but i dont htink you guys are too interested in that...

well onto the goodies..
my truck is a 1977 f250 highboy, was a single cab long box with a wheelbase os 133.
key word the is was...now its still a single cab but has a wheel base of 117...a short box has a wheel base 112(corect me if wrong).
but that was my plan. i dont want it to be a short box, because its too short, and i didnt like the long box because it was too long. i want to flatbed it(like dirk philips from the may cover 4wheeler. but my close friend George that is helping me out with hte build wants to find a bed and cut it spec to fit...
plans are:
460 to mp435 with divorse mount np205
move x-case 12 inches ahead(24" between tranny and x-case)
and raise it out of harms way.
dana 60 front
4.88 or 5.13 gears with lockers.
38-42" tires.
buckets(have)
custom dash(in the making)
flared front fenders(working with a guy from a desert site to get a costom mold made)
custom front+rear bumpers, skids, ect.
interior roll cage.
cut 6"(12" from rear of shackle to frame end) off the rear to improve the depature angle
box were frame was cut and fish plate the outsied
cap from and ends on frame.
rear mount gas tank.
boxed motor mounts.
shackle flip rear re-arched fronts till i can afford some custom springs...or might go with a differant front set up after the first season....
some body mods i have done are, sahved drip rails, shaved emblems, shaved antena, fix dents on roof(from when rolled) and a bullet hole in the roof(long story).
on this i want to do is graph some 99-present chevy handles into the doors because i like htem much better...flame away lol
theres lots more, but i have typed lots...
heres a pic
right after frame chop
the rear ooks long because of the bumper.....but right imagine it not there...

and how it sits now..but bare metal

lots of the parts i have, its just a matter of putting it on ect.
you know lol.

I'm curious on your frame shortening. It looks like you made a vertical cut through the frame rail. Hopefully you have it plated good as that is the weakest method of joining a frame.

The truck looks like it is coming along fine there. I notice the cab filler for gas. Must of been installed aftermarket.
I see the Skidsteer in the background. I have a 731 series Bobcat and Morris here has a Bobcat business.
Someone should be able to find a 60 Dana. I have some dana rear axles from Chevy trucks. The tags are gone and not sure how to identify their sizes.
Hope you can come out to one of our coffe gatherings.

Weclome back Marshall, nice to have you on board.
It sounds like you have quite a truck there and some great plans.
How about becoming a member of the Man/Sask chapter soon?

Glen, The cab gas tank was still standard on the 73-77 F-250 4x4 since they used the narrow 34" frame.
