Such enthusiasm Effie Man.

I'd love to get one of those dual welders that are an ARC and MIG welder. Those things are sweet! Arc for fabrication and Mig for sheetmetal.

Just looking at the Miller site and their smallest muti-welder is the Shopmaster DX and retails for $3500. Maybe I should just buy my dad's old Forney arc and then just buy a good mig.

Although it would be nice to put the miller in the corner and have the control box on the welding table but this way I could give the old Forney a blue paint job!

It's pretty hard to remote control an arc welder when the amperage is set by plugging the cables in the desired range on the front.

It's been a good welder. It's a Forney C6 220 amp A/C ARC welder and was most likely built in the 60's. Probably has 1-2" of dirt inside plus some misc bolts and nuts. The carbon torch needs work and don't know if the built in battery charger works as we have never used it.

It's 20% at 220 amps but I never really went over 90 amps with 7014 rods. I welded for a couple hours straight and it never missed a beat.
