My new truck started taking hits right off the bat, so I now have adopted the 'It's a truck' attitude. I had a load of mulch dumped in which had some gravel in it. Some of it hit the top of the cab, and one piece (I discovered later) got wedged between the bed and body where it made a good gouge. Next I was going up a long unpaved driveway and ran over the end of a log that I didn't see. The log whipped up and whacked the truck on the pssenger's side, making some good scratches and breaking the mirror loose. Next, a freakin' branch fell and put a dent in the aluminum hood right here in my own driveway. After that, a rock hit the top edge of the cab out on the road and made a chip in the paint. I still wash and wax it, but I'm just not worrying about the small stuff.
yeah I hear ya, I'm the same way during hunting season. My truck cleans up so good though and is still fairly new. I still want it to look pretty in the city ya know?!
A friend has a buffer, we do a lot with old cars so it comes in handy sometimes. Eastwood has a good assortment of products for the buffer, 3M products are the best though.
Hey Muzzy. If you go to meguiars web site there is an interactive section there that
you can use that may help get the info you need so you take this step by step.

I'm a little more sensitive to bumps/dents than you are...but overall I agree. It's a truck
Still have my "Nevada pinstripes" from a Sep deer hunt. Had a 2 m bull dozer trail up the "hill". Brush and tree limbs scraped both sides all the way up after pushing both mirrors to doors. You know that "fingernail on the chalkboard" sound? After looking at that trail on Google Earth, I wondered how the heck did I get up there? And then with snow on the way down, crossing the stream 13 times each way, the truck was nice and clean when I hit the pavement. (All of those tree limbs and snow/ice) was just like a car wash I guess. I dont think the limbs caused the scratches by themselves, it was the dirt on the paint acting like sandpaper. Oh well its only the first dings that hurt.
