im running in my 79 f150 a 302 2bbl carb c6 thanks
i've got a 79 f100 302 2bbl c6 setup... mine has the stupid electric choke assist thing going on and has been broken for a few years now. got a new one put on and the dumb thing still doesn't run right after getting everything adjusted and bla bla ... *shrug* I know that's no help but in case someone else does have some help, now there's two of us listening
that pic you sent, I messed with it on my truck, and when I did the first time it didnt do ne thing, the second time it now doesnt kick into auto choke, not bad really but my mechanic friend said to replace it....or should i just keep messing with that till it works or something?
Note:
The little arm in the choke housing is supposed to slide into the end part of the choke spring.
Then the black choke housing has to be indexed to the proper notch.
The choke linkage/fast idle linkage to the carb has to be properly adjusted for the choke system to work properly.
That's why I linked the autozone page.
well my friend down at napa who was a mechanic for ford for like 30 years said that it sounds like the spring for the auto choke isnt warming up....yet not the auto choke isnt even comming on
