<TABLE><TBODY><TR><TD vAlign=top width="100%">Got a good deal on a 6 speed transmission out of a 2000 f350, in looking to put it in my 1997 F350. It looks like there is a spacer on the back of the motor,i have'nt tried to take it off. Has any on done this swap before, any pitfalls I should know about. I know the clutch is different, and we will have to have a driveshaft made( I did get the 2000 driveshaft ) any help will be appreaceated

it works if you have a 4x4 you need the sd transfer case. driveshaft work needs to be done. body lift of beat the floor pan bout an inch of lift to fit it. the aluminum spacer needs to come off the back of the motor and you need the steel spacer plate and the shorter dowels for the motor. need clutch and the superduty slave cylinder. i cant remember if the tranny crossmember has to move.

i am wanting to do this but just havent gotten a trans and tcase for a reasonable price.

 

Mine is a crewcab 2 wheel drive f350, someone surely has done this before. I've had the trans for a year, trying to figure out what i need to put it in!
