2 helper springs?

i was wondering if it would be possible to put 2 helper springs on each side in the rear. while my rear is out already i plan on adding a few springs so instead of the 3 that were on it im ending with 5 and possibly 2 helpers? any thoughts on this?

My first truck (83 F-100) had add-a-leafs, air shocks, and those coil springs you bolt to the axle. #2500 of wood pellets would still make the rear drag. What do you need so many helpers for, it may worsen your ride.

if your wanting more load carrying then go with inflatable air bag helper its simerlar to airshocks and the coil spring bolted to the axel combined they mount to the axel and you inflate them till your truck is leveled like airride on a 18wheeler .when not in use you can deflate them get an onboard compressor and make it even easyier to use

Mr Monster has a good idea. I am thinking about taking some of the leafs out of my truck to smooth out the ride. Then putting some air bags to help out when need be.

Go with the air bag system, it's the only way to fly nowadays!

I'm a fan on the over the pack helper springs. My truck came with them factory and the next time i have my axle out (shortly for spring bushings and u-bolts) I'm putting an additional spring over the pack. Added spring capacity without affecting the ride one bit.
