helper spring

Ok I'm lowering my 66 and on the rear their is a load helper do I have to remove it or can I just cut off the ends so that they clear the bracket on the frame

is it bolted in with the spring pack or is it a add on ? if part of the pack you can cut the end off or remove it , if it is a add on throw it away !

I believe that it is a factory installed helper in 66 so u r saying I can cut it off or is it better to remove it

better to remove it , you will need new center bolts for the spring pack . NAPA will have them
