2 hours 45 minutes and 3 Bud Lights later.........
I got the Hutch and Harpoon done. That includes the trip up to the Feed Bag to fillerup. I used the ITP kit with the Baldwin filter. It was much eaiser than I thought it would be, especially with air tools to R and R the tank. I wish I would have done it sooner. I put the HPX line on Wednesday night. Man what a difference that made. I know a lot of guys say they don't hear much difference in the "clackity clack" after the HPX, but I drove around before hand just listening to the truck in different situations, then did it again afterward and noticed a lot of difference. Not only in the noise, but actually seems to have smoother idle and low end accelleration. I hope the pre pump kit will smooth things out a little more. I guess that's the end of the fun stuff for me for a bit. My next project is going to have to be the dreaded uppipes. My drivers side seems to get worse by the week. Anyway, anybody worried about doing the Hutch and Harpoon, don't be. Just do it! That first fillup makes the project worth while.
glad you got it done .. I recently did mine as well .. i'd been putting it off ..
Izzy .. get a ratcheting pipe cutter - made to cut PVC pipe and tubing .. about $10.00 at Home Depot .. just open the jaws, reach in and cut, easy as pie !!!!!
I actually used a 2" wide heavy putty knife and heated it up with a torch. Melted right through it.
You didnt have any hesitations doing that inside of a fuel tank with three beers in your system? Or is that how the idea of a torch came into your mind?
Yes, LOL I did heat up the knife OUTSIDE AND AWAY from the tank. Generally speaking, I try to avoid the whole " Hey Cleatus watch me stick this bottle rocket up my *** and light it" scenario then ending up all over the internet video world. But, I guess you never know with me...

It would take at least a 12-pack for me ot have that kind of courage.
