Factory Stereo...?
Anybody know of someone that has a spare factory in-dash changer w/ rear dvd controls they would be willing to sell me? Or a place where I could order another one online? I'm a pretty avid music listener so I figured it would only be a matter of time before the in-dash changer went. Everything works fine but I can hear the cd hitting something as it turns and it can't spin up to full speed. Its probably just an alignment problem so I guess a better question would be is there an easy fix for this?? I have another deck in there right now so its not a HUGE deal but I do miss being able to use the rear ux in to listen to my MP3 player. Plus, I'm thinking about selling my truck so it will be nice to have the stock unit ready to go in if someone wants it more than I do.

I have a stock in-dash 6 disk I just removed. it's from a 2004 with only 26000 miles. Not a ton of usage. it has the rear control plug but not sure about the dvd control as mine has an aftermarket overhead dvd. How can I tell if it has all the controls your looking for? Will sell for $40 and you pay shipping. I would use 3 day express mail through my paypal account. Let me know if interested.

I just checked ebay and they appear to be the same unit, if nobody chimes in could you snap a quick pic of the rear of the unit? Then I could compare to mine and see if they are the same.

didn't get the pm? all I said is that you can have mine--just pay for the shipping. I'll even send it to you and let you know what the shipping is (what ever method you want) I took mine out two weeks after I bought the truck and t has been taking up space since--I've almost thrown it out about five times....let me know if you want it and its yours, I have no use for it.

I had a problem with my stock disk changer. Had a few CD's stuck in it. They wouldn't play or eject. Kept getting a CD error displayed whenever I tried to play one or eject one. I pulled the CD deck out and removed the front and top covers. I took some needle nosed pliers and removed the CD's, then moved the CD' houding mechanism up and down several times. Put it back together and it works great now. Something must have gotten hung up.
