Differance between 91Psd +95Psd?

Could anyone tell me if there are alot of changes to the 95Psd as I'm looking to buy a 91 for a parts truck. I have a 91 F150 that needs parts also.
Thanks in advance!!

Big difference. No such thing as a 91 PSD. It's an IDI engine.

So.... These blocks are completely different? I wasn't thinking of changing engines 'most of the stuff I need is alt., bumper , ect but I was hoping I'd have a spare drivetrain if I need 1. My 95 has 253,000 on it and its been heavily worked although it does run great.

I"m hoping the bumper will just bolt up to my 95 as it has an 8000lb warn winch that I could really use.

alternator won't work, rear bumper should be the same, front bumper may be different. axles will interchange. the only engine components that might interchange is the block itself, the heads are different. the tranny may bolt up but it's not likely to hold the power of the psd happily

Yeah, not only that, the 91 is a AOD trans if I'm correct, we have the e4od, can someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Even if it is the e4od, it will argue back at you by leaving you stranded in a short time.

I know thier is a link that compares the engines somewhere

one thing that was also mentioned that the PSD block has piston oil coolers and the IDI did not.

I'll stop posting now

IDK, I think it's a C6, Great trans but a 3 speed.

Kudos, Great info on the engines

I think your right, I was just under a 93 f350 last night with a 5.8L and it had the notch pan on the trans so you could have very well been a c-6 but I was not paying atetention to it really.

We had an old late 80's maybe a 90 or 91 6.9 or 7.3 N/A service truck last year till we dumped it and that had a push button overdrive so...............I just remeber it was a slug down the highway and it had push button OD

The 91 bumper will fit on a 95. The only difference back then was the diesels had decorative holes in the front of the bumper for the diesel. Heck for winch I'd make it fit if it a good deal.

There are many interchangable parts between a 91 & 95, except for engine. The trans and tranfer case (If it has one) axles ect might swap. Most body parts will swap too.

the front bumpers are not interchangable between 91 and 95. 91s had a more square front clip as compare to the rounded corners of the 95s. the bumpers are different
