That 86 Ford I was told about turned out to be a '89 for $500. Runs like and top. (and quiet) Emissions crap to high heaven. I suppose that's unaviodable now days. I like the truck but it is a whole different animal than that '83 was. It will take some getting used to. I took it on it's maiden drive. Oil holds 3/4 up the guage. Temp holds 1/4 Volt meter about 1/4 w/ headlights on. It's got the typical rust. Interior is very well kept and clean. 147K so was it a deal?
Little Brother just picked up a 91 F150 rust free Colorado short box with a seized 302 for free. Everything works. Even the A/C. He said it could use paint as it is sun faded. He has one of two fresh engines to go in it. I never get deals like you guy's.
yep i'm guilty also .. picked up a 1999 FORD Ranger regular cab XLT V6 for $1500 a couple of weeks ago from my boss.( he gave 5 for it back in 03'). sat for 2 years on the farm.. they thought the transmission failed.. so he went and parked ( they have nearly 10-12 trucks altogether so no need to fix it.. my my how it must be nice to be rich ) its in almost perfect condition only a dent when the back hoe hit it (seems to be the trademark around there). So anyway did a little research turns out all it was a speed sensor for a measly $18 bucks . man i'm loving it and it only has 110,000 on the clock and is the first vehicle i've ever owned with a cd player and a keyless entry
