code help..

Hey guys need a little help. 2005 f-150 5.4.. Truck has been fine ,but today starting running really rough. After getting home shut it off used the edge's diagnostic feature and it pulled an 061 and said unknown.anyone have any idea what this is? Thanks in advance ... Mike.

That's not a valid code, how did you get it? If your using a decent reader, your codes will start with a P, B, C, or U. Then followed by 4 numbers.

Hi I didn't use a scan tool I used the diagnostic option that is in the edge programmer after I posted I went out to recheck amd it said p061 unknown ..Seems weird to me to..

Your still short a number. It is a powertrain code though.

Reax.. I checked it twice and it was p061. Maybe just a fluke in programmer?

Reax, Thanks for the help I think it was a fluke, We did have alot of rain yesterday I think a coil pack or something got wet.. I'm going to clear the code this morning cause the roughness went away and drive it to work.. I'll see what happens. Mike.

no no your right.. i installed a air raid cold air intake on my 04 5.4 an it set codes in it an they were the oxygen sensor an mass air flow if i remember right...an they were p171 an p174

Yea, it problably was an oiled filter right? The filter got over oiled i'm betting. Thus contaminating the MAF, and that intern caused the O2 sensor to set a lean code?
