Researching 302 stuff

So I spent alot of time researching 302 parts for rebuilding my 302. Sure is a ton of aftermarket stuff, but can get expensive very fast! Looks like I wont be getting quite the HP I wanted to see out of my efi'd 302, but it will be alot better then it is now.

Yeah I have found that some of the info is from guys "thinking" they know what they are talking about. Sure makes it tougher to find ino that way.

302's a inexpensive build compared to a Y or a flat so my symathy is somewhat lacking, I have a few bills almost 3000 in my 57 and that is dang near bone stock. Flathead is somewhere up there too so I'm lookin forwards.

I will suggest go to Hanks Service he has a line f parts dealers and he does satisfory mahinin and assembly. Me and Fom have had motors done there.

Will keep hanks service in mind for sure. And I know I shouldnt whine as I could put alot of crap in a 302 for the price you rebuild your motors for.

flatties are terribly expensive for aftermarket parts. Mostly just to find them, but its getting better now that they were the big thing for a while so there are more and more companies making performance parts that are new instead of 40 years old (not that theres anything wrong with them) my flatty i want to put the 3 carb intake with 3 97s

Why do you want the Stromberg 97 instead of the Holley 94? Well I guess you can buy the 97 though.

Holley and Stromburg are the same carbs The ne one my 49 was pieced together from 2 Holley and a Ford Stromburg. However was a 97?

I am starting to look for a 2 carb system for my 49, cheap is the main goal though.
