I figure I might get 250 horsepower if Im lucky. I was hoping for around 285 or so. The engine is going to go in my 89, im keeping it fuel injected, and turning it into a shortbox.

Preppy, your max HP will depend of which size injectors you have.
16lb injectors will do 230 hp and 19lb injectors will do 275 hp.

You will have to get a chip for your computer for the larger injectors to work otherwise your engine will run very rich.

Yeah a chip is no problem. They run a few hundred bucks.

The best way would be to take your truck to a dyno place where they can run the engine and calibrate the chip to your engine's specifications.

Performance Plus on 22nd

I've never been there but they have lots of Ford goodies!
Snowking, the carbs that say Ford are a Holley 94. The off the self replacements were the only ones to have 94 stamped on them. The strongbergs always have the big linkage to the accelerator pump.

Yep the Holley 2100 is pretty much the same as the 94 but the 2100 has a spark resister thingy. Then there is the Autolite 2100 and Motorcraft 2105. Confusing huh?

For fuel injection there is CFI, TBI, TPI, MPI, and the various versions of each.
