3.0 ford or masda

I have a 94 3.0l masda thats getting tired, is the 3.0 ford the same, or what else will bolt up to it. Its 5spd 2wd.

Well, if it is a Mazda, then it was built by Ford on the same assembly line. A Vulcan 3.0 should bolt right in. You should ( i think) see the word Ford on the rocker arm covers.

Thanks for the reply tomw. Whats a vulcan 3.0, i am not up on these motors. Mine rattles like a diesel, has 250k on it.

The Vulcan is the 3.0L used in the Ranger pickups and Mazda B3000. Any 3.0L from a Ranger or Mazda B3000 will bolt in.

You will need one from '94 or earlier to maintain your current distributor ignition setup.
