Nope. The 3.0 that comes in a jaguar is a DOHC 3.0. Thr 3.0 that is found in the ranger is the vulcan 3.0 ohc. I saw a pic of the jaguar engine and it looked similar to the duratech 3.0 that is found in the taurus and escape but I doubt if any parts swap over.
Have two 3.0 engines. One with internally balanced crankshaft (large counter weight in center) and one with externally balanced crankshaft (thicker counter weights at the ends). Both use different balancers. Question is: are they both usable in the any 3.0 block? All other parts look identical (rods, pistons and bearings).
There are not the same motor at all, the jaguar and 3.0 vulcan are way different. first off one is a DOHC and the other is OHV, big difference. Nothing is the same between the vulcan and duratec.
Sorry, didn't make myself clear. Both blocks and heads are the same. Both are vulcans. Don't have DOHC on either. Both cranks and balancers are different. Both cranks will fit in either block. Difference is the 94 eng has a big center mounted counter weight and smaller balancer and the other has no center counter weight and a larger balancer. Not sure of the year.
