some paint flaws

guys with newer rangers check your paint real close.i notice that on my 07 fx4 supercab that the roof has many paint defects. looks like dirt in the paint, cant wax it out, sunken areas that have lines around it, look likes the paint didnt dry? saw a looks like a finger print,rear door on passenger side looks dull compared to the front door. redfire metalic clearcoat is the color. you have to stand on the bed and look at the roof at a certan light to see the flaws. i was cleaning and waxing my truck this afternoon because it was nice out. when i was up in the bed to wax the roof i saw all this stuff and waxed it but nothing would come out. i love my ranger but i might be bring it back to have them look it over. also my passenger rear door does not close to good. have to really slam it to close. oh well see what happens.

They should give you a new paint job.

I agree...take it to the dealer, paint should be covered under the warranty.

Yeah, the last I heard there's 5 years on the body against defects and rust through, may even be more now.

ill let it slide for now. cant really see it unless you really look. the roof has some defects but with the right light. door looks like it might need just some polish and buff it out some.

You've just paid BIG bucks for your bumper to bumper waranty, make good use of it.

I did on mine, with a messed up passenger door paint job that they said should have never made it out of the StPaul factory. Dealer made it right, no questions asked!!!!

yea its not to bad. the rest of the truck looks great. lt has a lot of sparkle in the paint. but that one upper rear door just needs a little more shine.
