Wouldn't it make more sense to just trade your ranger for an explorer if you needed an suv? I mean it could be done, but remember your gonna have some flex between the bed and the cab. I still feel that picking uo an explorer or jeep cherokee would be the way to go. Do they sell explorers and cherokee's in the Ukraine ?

Yes.... But Ranher is much cheapper! I purchaised used Ranger '01 4.0 SOHC in very good condition. Like new.... for $12000. Explorer is about $17000. And explorer shorter.

I wan this mix of truck and suv to howl much, I want rear seats to be like in suv (there is this version of ranger, it is made in England only, RHD) and the lust to have bed in tonneu with auxialy heater like Webasto air-top 2000 for long trips to have an opportunity to stop somwere very far from cities.....

Well, sure you can do it, just carefully plan it out, gather your materials that you will need and have at it. The mind is the limit when it comes to fabarcating vehicles, have you ever seen some of the crazy vehicles at car shows. Just get you a good game plan before you start and good luck.

Just make sure you fabricate the middle out of some sort of strong-sealing, but flexible material, so you can keep water out but still allow the bed to flex seperate from the cab.

Interesting idea, I look forward to the results.

It would probably be something like installing a sleeper cab on a bigger truck.

Why not just weld the bed to the cab like they do in the Craftsmen Truck series? Then he would have a rigid platform like the Explorer.

They don't have welders in the Ukraine, they just started importing super glue ha ha. I think attaching the bed and cab would be a good idea like the score trucks.

Yeah it would make for a rigid body like a home made Explorer.
