My wife had one in her CJ Jeep and it blew "Dixie"; Dukes of Hazard's General Lee Tune"
LOCATED: Horns were mounted underside of hood (to get the most sound) with the Electro-Mechanical Air-Blower Motor mounted on driver's fenderwall, simple wiring with relay and toggle switch and you gott'em turn'in heads!!
I had the almost the same horn and it blew fuses a couple times. Also, the plastic hose lines break easliy. And the compressor just gave out after a couple months. Oh, and dont get any moisture in the lines or its done. Just wanted to give you the heads up.
Why would anyone want a $2,000 train horn on their truck? I can think of a lot of upgrades I could do to my truck with that kind of money. To each their own of course, but it seems to be overkill IMHO.
Jim, thats exactly my thinking, Heck for 2,000 i could put real undercarrage lights on, instead of my cheap redneck way of making LED bars outta parts i bought on the web for 30$, or NOS. My cheap horn will do just fine, and i'll insluate it, and fix the plastic parts. i can always make it "better"...
No i cant spent money any more, i promised the wifey no more upgrades till we got her a new car. The old one is fastly approching 300,000. so i'm fearing it's time is comming to a close.
Also, where did you mont them Zack, do they fit into the original spot.
I got a CAI kit for my Ranger and mounted them in the location where the airbox formerly was, I even used the stock holes. Grounded it on the side fender where a ground already existed, and ran the power wire. Took MAYBE 20 minutes to install.
