i think it's the IE-non-IE setting in the control panel. i'm probably wrong, but the few times i've had issues i've switched those settings and all was right within an hr.
i know more about laundry than computers but thats what i have to offer. my 2cents

i lost one of my p3's to a bad hard drive. not a big loss as it was a pain to even keep running. i think it was costing more in electricity than it is worth

I've changed every setting there is and let it sit for a day, before trying something different. I just got done trying to use the proxy server option. So, we'll see where that takes us.

And I've turned the IE setting on and off over numerous days and tries. I mean, come on... that control panel doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand.

I have a direct hookup to the modem now. No settings there have ever been changed. Nothing's been changed in all actuality, since last sending WU3 successfully....and it took a few days to send, finally. My computer danged near reached out and shook my hand.

And yes. Yer losing me fast. If something doesn't work soon, I'm outta here and they can resend the same units to someone else. I'll just head for the end of the bench and the water bucket. Too bad I don't drink or use illicit drugs. I'd be really busy right now.
humbug.

.
Harvard and Howard Hughes Medical Institute have put out more videos of Cell actions, proteins, and lecture presentations.

http://multimedia.mcb.harvard.edu/media.html

Might have to adjust your Quicktime audio settings to hear the lectures.

It was my router blocking it. I uninstalled the router and sent out for destructions on how to make it "allow" folding to access it's folders. I'm too busy this week to even think about reinstalling the router, but I do have instructions on how to set it up to allow port 80 to be accessed by their IP's.

Seek and ye shall find.

They're all sent. And that's the only reason I'm in the top twenty. Sent three units in one day. Tomorrow I be off the chart again. LOL!

I'm REALLY glad you figured out the problem! It would have been a shame for you to do all that work for nothin'! Welcome back!

Don't despair! That's all mine are worth ~ 186 points. I just have three computers working, so they add up pretty quick. Takes my desktop six days to complete a WU, my laptop two days, and my third unit four. Some of them may be slow, but every little bit helps! <O</O

A few points or alot its all good. Its about the hopeful objective to cure cancer and other problems. I don't mind the points though. It does spur healthy competition. Most of my WUs are the teeny ones too.

You guys realize, this is an excellent excuse for a computer upgrade?

I dont get it. People (not necessarily any of you guys!) spend $$$$$ on a new car, but when it comes to their computer they get the slowest cheapest crap they can find, even though the price for a good one is about 1/20th of the car, if that!

I have refused to sell to some customers simply because I didn't want to sell something for $500. Not only would they not be happy with it, but I didn't want to warranty something that cheap. People seem to think that if Dell or such can do it I should be able to as well. You get what you pay for...

Oh well, enough with the off-topic ranting for now.

My cheapest computer cost more than my most recent vehicle purchase. They are both slow.
