I have a pictures SC that I like to have up, but if it would make a big difference I could turn it off.. I'm up to 15percent now.

 

it's not going to make a huge difference, maybe 1% difference total time would be what I would expect to see.

OK! Just finished uploading my first packet! I'm glad to say we have another 227 points! Working on packets 2 and 3 now!

Yup! I just checked... As of 1:15 this afternoon, we are 888!

 

i will have hopefully around 3000 points more by sunday evening. my work pc is cranking out around 800 points per day right now

Well I turned in one 500pt unit earlier today, picked up another 500 pt unit on that computor, and on this one I am 56% finished on a 1500pt unit should be done tomorrow evening.

How in the world do you or the Folding computer decide who gets what size point units? All I've been getting is the same size units, but I'm not complaining. I'm not folding to compete with you guys n gals or anyone else...just curious, because I note some people with one unit and more points than my first unit was...or the other two.

You dont decide. You get assigned to the work unit assignment server, and that picks one out for you. If you're running a different client, like the SMP client for example, you'll get different work units than the standard windows client. Generally the longer on average it takes to finish a particular work unit, and the more scientific value there is to that work unit, the more points are awarded.

 

Got a couple hung in the Q on 2 different computers. anyone seen this and know how to remedy. it appears the collection server doesn't recognize the job??
