I have a whine whenever I turn the steering wheel. Kindof sounds like the whine when you turn it all the way to the left or right. It also whines a little when accelerating. The faster I'm going, the higher pitch the whine is especially when i turn the wheel a little. The power steering fluid is ok, and I'm guessing it's a belt problem. The whine goes away after a while of driving though so it's somewhat confusing. Sometimes it doesn't even do it when I start the car. Anyone have any idea or had a similar problem before??
i've got 2 broncos ('89 & '94) both pwr steering pumps whine.
my '94 whines a little & my '89 a little more. the older they get the more they whine. in some of the pumps ford uses, the pump gears just
whine nothing to worry about. some pumps ware different than others
& whine more while some whine less or not at all.
try the valvoline full synthetic pwr steer fluid it will help with that whining a bit.:+
