fx4 confusion
Now when I ordered my 08 F350 last week I opted for a Lariat with the Off Road Package. This includeds the skid plates but also requires you to select an A/T tire and ls axle. So basically I have what amounts to an 07-earlier FX4 package without the bling-bling shocks.
Front and rear skid plates (transfer case and fuel tank)
+
Rancho? shocks
+
limited slip rear (3.73 on F250SRW W/5.4)
+
fender sticker = FX4
+
Off road "tire" option (this can also be optioned seperately)
FX4 has always been pronounced "ef ex" (at least here in NewEngland)
The steering damper became standard equipment in 04/05 models
Manual hubs/manual transfer case are all seperate options or requirements and do not relate to ordering of the FX4 pkg.
As you all know options and items vary grately with year/build dates, models, dealer location etc..and whatever ford may have left on the shelf to finish a run. So to summarize we all have different trucks hahaha

I second this. Updated 4x4 Off Road Package. They justed used FX4 instead of 4x4 Off Road
