that Gabriels horn that is mentioned...what exactly is it, and it's purpose? ya gotta forgive me, i've been missing out on the old truck knowledge for a long time now...i'm trying to dust off the old brain for a new learing experience...
Y block original exhaust system had a exhaust pipe over top of the water pimp. It took the exhaust from the driver side of the motor and combined the exhaust from the driver and passenger side of the motor all in the passenger side manifold. Obviouslt it doesn't take a rocket surgeon to ralize that this would create a amazing amount of back pressue and when you consider all they used in the exhaust syatem for pipe was 1and 3/4 inch pipe it was not the best system.
A gabriel horn curves the passenger side exhaust underneath the motor. While by simply blocking off the inlet hole on the passenger side the passenger side system can be used normally, taking out the exhaust from the passenger side of the motor.
I understand this is hard to explain so here a pic of the original exhaust system.
lol...here it is: 1 for the email telling me that there's something new on FTE, 3 open FTE pages reading, 2 FTE pages replying, 2 pages of truck accessories, 1 page ebay automotive, heck, i haven't even opened the cover of the last two motocross mags that i got...talk about addiction????
