351w swap

My 1995 extended cab 2wd currently has a 302 mass air and auto w/od. I just bought a low mile 351w out of a e150 van. Will I have to change the computer or will the computer work with this? I know it will bolt up to the transmision and motor mounts. I ford racing headers for a 95 with a 351 and I was going to buy a new y pipe for a 351 truck. Also to pep up the motor I was going to put my afr185 heads on it. The van was a non mas air fuel injection. I want to keep the mass air set up my truck came with.

Yes it will work with your mass air computer. What year is the 351?

That motor should be the F4TE roller block, you can confirm this by looking at the numbers stamped into the block near the starter and oil pan gasket surface. If so it will have a decent roller cam in it. I doubt the stock EFI system would have enough adjustment to supply those AFR heads though, nor would the 19lb injectors.
You can make the stock 302 Y pipe fit the 351 without much work, just cut the pipe that feeds the drivers side where it passes under the engine, and weld in a small extension..maybe 1/2". This is exactly what I did on my 351 before I installed the longtube headers.

I have 24 lb injectors that I had in a mustang of mine. Its a roller block thats why I bought it. I was wanting to put a comp cams xe268 cam in it that to is out of a mustang of mine. My main question is that will the 5.0l computer run the bigger 5.8 or will I have to have a chip burned or a new computer put in?

Yes the 302 computer will run the stock 5.8. I think once you put the heads, cam and bigger injectors on it though you will need a chip to make it run smoothly and get all the performance potential.
