Dazed and confused

Can anyone help? I just bought a used (2004) 5.4 F250. I'm looking for some advice on some better gas mileage. ? I'm currently getting 8.5 mpg and I'm wanting to get tuner help. Is there any brand of tuner that I could benefit from most? I'm not looking for a miracle and I do plan to put a K&N filter in as well as a Flow Master System. I just want to buy the best tuner that I can for my application.
