85 mph Speedometer Only?

85 mph Speedometer Only?

Does any one know if the '73-'79 f series were ever offered with a speedometer greater than 85 mph. I'ld like a 100 or 120. I know the law says I won't need it. But it would be Cool. When I go down state Michigan on I-75 around the Flint - Detroit area the Speedo is pegged. I wonder if there is any thing for canada or overseas? Australia?

A 100 Mph was available.

I know who has one that he won't be needing

might be wrong, but i believe that 78 and 79 were 85mph and the earlier ones were 100. my 77 and old 74 were both 100's and my 79 was a 85

The 73-early 77's have a 0-100 speedo, no km if that matters. I switched my 79's 85mph speedo for a 100mph one (the speedo not the whole gauge cluster). Easy swap. i don't recall ever seeing one that read over 100mph.

I have only seen 100mph speedos in the black face not the white. Does the 100 mph come in white face?

i swapped the original 85 mph speedometer out for a 100mph one from a '74

I bought 2 whole clusters off e-bay, one from a van, and one form a truck, used the 100mph speedo from the van on the truck cluster, changed odom to reflect original miles. I like not having the kms, dont need it.
