I have a 1988 ford bronco full size and I just recently bought it. It is either first or second in favorite cars(the one running neck and neck with it is my MGB Roadster). But anyway the oil gauge fluctates at idle and I have a bad rear main oil leak so I figure Ill just throw in a rebuilt engine. How much should I expect to pay for a efi 351 windsor engine. Im used to imports so...I dunno what to look for in a 351w. Any recommendations? Performance wise included. And yes I know...NOOB hehe..
Thanks
Jon
Oh yeah this is for a price in the Houston, TX area...as Im sure prices differ from place to place.
If you are in the Houston area check out Lone Star Ford. The are a Ford Motorsports dealer andhave a lot of stuff in stock and get all other parts quickly. When I was a student at Universal Technical Institute about 10 years ago I worked in the used car section.
I bought a jasper and it cost me $3200, installed. I could have saved money but I was in a hurry. However, I got a 3 year/75k warranty. It runs VERY strong.
Had i been a little less hurried, I would have just rebuilt the old one and put the extra $$ into some new heads, a Lightening cam, roller rocker, new manifold and Throttle body. I would have had spent the same $$, but no warranty.
