2006 F-250 4x4 (14,000 miles)
I am wondering if this shim scenario could be the shudder I am experiencing?
It only happen when hauling my #11,000 fifth wheel trailer (#1,600 pin weight in the bed) and in stop and go traffic; from stop to about 25mph. It never happens when unloaded.
I wrote a previous thread on this but the only feed-back was possible transmission problems, which I don't think is the case. As soon as the Michigan winter is over I will be taking the trailer out of storage and take it and the truck to the dealer for diagnosis.

Do I understand right, I have to pay for the repair, the repair of stuff that should be right in the first place? Thanks man...let me know, Im still confused a little bit....
HTTTRH: I repaired mine myself mainly because I had a 4" lift and I believe it contributed to the drive line angle vibration. It took me less than 45 min to complete and I had to drill the holes in 3 shims that I made from 1/4" steel...

Check with your dealer for the facts, but the way that I read it is that it's covered under the new vehicle warranty. What I don't know is if that's the 3yr/36k coverage or the 5yr/100k coverage. The latter is for engine and drive train. The drive shaft is part of the drive train. My GUESS is that it's covered either way, but I'm not Ford, nor am I a tech... I'm just a guy with an opinion and an interpretation of the TSB language.

I also made mine myself. Dealer wanted $150.00 for one.
